Application Tips: This workshop reviews the roles of the application and how to avoid or eliminate “RED FLAGS” from your application.

Attendance and Work Habits: It takes so much work to find a job and so much work to keep it! This hour is full or reminders on how to keep a job. From calling in sick to computer use, this workshop is full of tips for the firs-time employee to the season employee. Don’t miss it!

Career Fair Preparation Strategy Session: A centralized event at a location where employers gather for the purpose of meeting job seekers. You have a limited time to “WOW” these employers. This session will give you guidance on how to successfully use career fairs to your advantage.

Communication: Your ability to communicate effectively will affect many aspects of your job and career. Becoming a strong communicator doesn’t come easy. This workshop discusses the importance of communication at work, causes of communication breakdowns in the workplace, and the components of good communication.

Cover & Thank You Letters Preparation: Another way of introducing and selling yourself to an employer.


Customer Service: Customers are everywhere.  A business cannot be a business without them   In our competitive economy, customer service skills are in high demand.

Job Interviewing Preparation: Interview preparation practices and techniques-How to answer difficult questions.

Friday Morning 5 Minute Tips: Can 5 minutes change your life? Well, maybe. These may be the best 5 minutes that you can invest in yourself this week. Join us for a few minutes. What have you got to lose?

 

Resume Review: Bring your resume in for a professional evaluation. (One-on-One)

Department of Rehabilitation: Counseling training, and placement for person with disabilities who qualify for DOR services.

Goodwill Industries Orientation: Provides vocational assessment, work experience, job coaching and job search assistance to individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment.

Experience Works: Provides job search assistance to person 55 or older.

 

NAVIGATOR ON SITE Monday through Friday  8 am-5 pm

Navigators are available to answer your job search questions.
